We cannot speak a language until we have a linguistic system built up in our heads. Listening and reading are the best ways to build that system, like when you were a baby acquiring your first language. This site is made for teachers and learners of French–to facilitate acquisition for your learners or to acquire the language, not learn about it.

Madame Mendoza is a French teacher at Emporia High School. She has been teaching French for more than 20 years either privately or in public schools. She believes that every person can acquire another language, they just need to receive the right input.
